Please read our .

Summary

Linear banked features to the northwest of Up Cerne are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features sub-divide and align with present fields and are considered most likely to be field boundaries of medieval to post medieval date, although being within an area of later prehistoric field systems, an older origin is also possible. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
