Full Description

An extensive later prehistoric field system on Black Hill, Cerne Abbas, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2, 3]. The features incorporate linear boundaries enclosures and trackways that might be associated with two Bronze Age settlements (MDOs713/714) but are within an area of wider activity dating between the Neolithic and Roman periods. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
