A concentration of sub circular hollow features on the northern flank of Giant Hill, Cerne Abbas, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2]. The features are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
