Summary

A concentration of ditched linear and curvilinear features and at least three possible rectilinear enclosures on Tenant's Hill, to the west of Alton Pancras, are visible as cropmarks on 1995 aerial photographs. The features are considered likely to be part of a later prehistoric settlement, potentially of Iron Age origin, based on morphology. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.

A concentration of ditched linear and curvilinear features and at least three possible rectilinear enclosures on Tenant's Hill, to the west of Alton Pancras, are visible as cropmarks on 1995 aerial photographs [1, 2, 3]. The features are considered likely to be part of a later prehistoric settlement, potentially of Iron Age origin, based on morphology. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
