Full Description
A sub circular hollow feature to the west of Piddle Wood, Alton Pancras, is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2]. The feature is recorded on the OS 1st Edition map as an old chalk pit [3] and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
