An irregular elongated linear hollow feature to the northwest of Barcombe Farm, Alton Pancras, is visible as an earthwork on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The feature is recorded on the OS 1st Edition map as a chalk pit [2]. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
