Summary
A cluster of irregular hollow features to the northeast of Modus Coppice, Buckland Newton, is visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are of uncertain origin but are situated within an area of old chalk pits and might also have a post medieval extractive origin, possibly also being chalk pits. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.

Full Description
A cluster of irregular hollow features to the northeast of Modus Coppice, Buckland Newton, is visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features are of uncertain origin but are situated within an area of old chalk pits and might also have a post medieval extractive origin, possibly also being chalk pits. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
