Full Description
A series of sub circular hollow features in the vicinity of Modus Coppice, Buckland Newton, are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features are part of a wider group of similar features recorded on the OS 1st Edition map as old chalk pits and are also considered to be chalk pits of post medieval origin. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
