Summary

Two sub circular hollow features to the east of Little Minterne Hill, Minterne Magna, are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are shown but not named on the OS 1st Edition map and are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.

Two sub circular hollow features to the east of Little Minterne Hill, Minterne Magna, are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features are shown but not named on the OS 1st Edition map and are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits [2]. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
