'A small number of subsoil features were recorded in the sections of the pipe trench. These could mostly be related to surface features observed before stripping commenced and may be summarised as follows.
Plot 2. … A ditch/pit 10 aligned north-south at the southern end of the plot, 500mm deep. Clay-filled, containing animal bone in primary fill.'
