Full Description

Four large bowl barrows, three located as above, and a fourth barrow ('D') at SY 75409738. <2>

Four grass covered bowl barrows are situated as above, except that (A) is at SY 75389736. They show no evidence of ditches or excavations, and range from 17 to 25 metres in diameter by 0.6 to 1.6 metres in height. <3>

Three round barrows in line on Puddletown Down: (D) (Not mentioned in text, but shown on map in end pocket). <5>

'D'. SY 75389737. A probable barrow, diameter approximately 20.0m., height 0.1m., A slight mound, almost ploughed out. All the barrows are in arable and have been ploughed over; none has a visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <6>
