Full Description
SY 757 994 (FCE) A rapid examination of air photography suggests the presence of probable lynchets, visible as cropmarks on the slopes of a valley between New Barn and Cheselbourne. The features may be of Prehistoric or Roman date. <1>
Bank and ditched linear features are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs and low earthworks on lidar imagery <1.1 and 3>. They are of uncertain date and were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cern and Piddle AIM Project.
