Monument record MDO45738 - Iron Age/Romano-British enclosure, Charminster

The cropmarks of a possible Iron Age or Roman enclosure is visible on aerial photographs taken in 2006. This is associated with the cropmarks of an Iron Age or Roman field system. The enclosure is 48m across and forms part of the field system decribed in MDO20448; it was digitally recorded during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.

The cropmarks of a possible Iron Age or Roman enclosures is visible on aerial photographs taken in 2006. This is associated with the cropmarks of the field system recorded as SY 69 NE 37 and are centred on SY 7025 9510. The diagonal linear cropmark to the south of these enclosures appears to follow the line of the Ridgeway. <1-3>

The enclosure is 48m across and forms part of the field system decribed in MDO20448; it was digitally recorded during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project. <5>
