Monument record MDO44791 - Enclosures on Kingrove Down, Piddletrenthide

Irregular curvilinear enclosure of unknown date, but associated with another enclosure and lynchets. Seen as cropmarks on aerial photographs. The enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1989 and was digitally recorded during the Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project. It is 77m by 56m across with two small gaps which may be the locations of entrances.

A rapid examination of air photography suggests the presence of lynchets extending up Kingrove Down, with associated enclosures at SY 697 995 (curvilinear and rectilinear) and SY 699 997 (curvilinear, somewhat irregular).
