A chalk pit is marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map in the field to the south of King Down Farm (1) , Pamphill along with another possible pit or pond. They are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery (2) and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
