Full Description

'E' - SY 82219930. Bowl barrow, 36ft diameter and 9 ins high in an area of former ploughing (RCHM Milborne St Andrew No 34; Grinsell's Milborne No 9). <2-3>

SY 822993. Group of six round barrows on Deverell Down. Scheduled. (This group undoubtably includes some of the barrows at SY 821991 - See SY 89 NW 16). <4>

'E' SY 82219930. Bowl barrow, diameter 10.0 metres, height 0.3 metres. Resurveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <5>

The probable site of a plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a cropmark ring ditch 12m across on aerial photographs taken in 1976 <7>. The site was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.
