Full Description
Cropmarks of a possible Bronze Age round barrow visible on Black Hill to the south of Cerne Abbas village at ST 67048 100392. This can be seen on on aerial photographs taken in 2015 as part of the Historic England Reconnaissance Recording programme. <1>
The feature is discernable as a ring ditched cropmark on a 2015 aerial photograph and as a low earthwork mound on Environment Agency lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project. <3, 4>
