Monument record MDO41115 - Neolithic pits, Strawberry Field, Poole

Summary

Topsoil stripping of around one hectare in the north-western part of Strawberry Field in 1990 revealed ten pits. Of these, a cluster of three pits contained pottery and flint work of early to mid-Neolithic date. Two other pits revealed evidence of burning, and five could not be dated.
