‘Trench 1 (Plate 1) was aligned WNW/ESE and located within the north-west sector of the Site, to the south of Leigh Road. Two features were identified; a modern drain (not numbered) aligned approximately south-west to north-east at the west end of the trench, and ditch 104 at the east end of the trench.
Ditch 104 (Plate 2) was approximately 1m wide and 0.07m deep very shallow east to west aligned feature with a broad flat base. No dating evidence was recovered from the feature, which in a wider context was approximately co-aligned with Leigh Road to the north.’
