Summary

A subsoil layer containing finds including pottery of late Iron Age/early Roman date, worked flint, burnt flint, and shells was recorded in 2004 during the archaeological evaluation of the site for development. This layer was interpreted as a spread of domestic refuse, perhaps from a midden, somewhere in the vicinity.
