Summary

A series of scarps and platforms are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to south of Stoke Mill. It is uncertain whether these are associated with medieval or later settlement, or the result of the removal of the orchard marked on the OS 1st edition map. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

Earthwork scoops and slight platforms may be the result of the removal of orchard trees or a possible house site. <1>

A series of scarps and platforms are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to south of Stoke Mill <2>. It is uncertain whether these are associated with medieval or later settlement, or the result of the remonal of the orchard marked on the OS 1st edition map. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
