Full Description

An area of strip lynchets is visible as earthworks on the 2nd edition OS map and on recent lidar imagery in Southwell, Portland. The lynchets are oriented south west-north east and cover an area measuring approximately 95 m by 65 m. (1-2) An area of extant lynchets is located to the north west (see MWX5242) and levelled lynchets are located to the north and east (see MDO29685). This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
