Full Description
Second World War beach defences, consisting of a line of posts, are visible on aerial photographs of the 1940s along the beach front at Swanage and extending to the north. (1-2) The posts were arranged in a line along the front of the beach to impede landing craft and were removed immediately after the war. This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
