Second World War beach defences, consisting of two possible barbed wire entanglements, are visible as structures on aerial photographs of 1941, along the beach on the western side of the Sandbanks peninsula, adjacent to Banks Road. The structures are semi-circular in shape and may have been anti-boat landing obstacles. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
