Summary

The chalk footings of a row of three cottages along Thames Street were uncovered during excavations by Poole Museum in 1974. These cottages were demolished c. 1920.

Full Description

Part of a range of three cottages was excavated by Poole Museum during excavations on Thames Street by Poole Museum in 1974. The footings were of chalk. These cottages were demolished c. 1920 and are recorded on a photograph dated c. 1885. This shows the three cottages gable end to the street. (1)
