Two pits and a number of postholes of probable medieval date were uncovered to the rear of the High Street frontage during excavations by Poole Museum in 1973.

Full Description
Traces of medieval activity were uncovered during salvage excavations by Poole Museum on the Old Orchard Car Park site in 1973. The evidence comprised a large pit or ditch (only partially exposed) of medieval date, which cut another medieval pit, and several postholes. (1)
