Full Description

Rescue excavations by Poole Museum on the Old Orchard car park site in 1973 revealed the remains of a possible medieval building to the rear of the High Street frontage. The evidence for this building comprised a patch of gravel, which was interpreted as the floor of a timber-framed building of medieval date. It may have been associated with a small ditch and bank to the east. (1)
