<1> Royal Commission on Historical Monuments England, 1952, An Inventory of Historical Monuments in the County of Dorset, Volume I (West), 161 (Monograph). SDO97.
‘The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of the 17th century and of two storeys; the walls are of rubble and the roofs are thatched or covered with modern materials. Some of the buildings have exposed ceiling-beams and original fireplaces. . . . (21) Lower Holt Farm, 1,150 yards N.N.W. of the church, is T-shape in plan; the W. wing was built in the 17th century and the cross wing in the middle of the 18th century. There are ashlar quoins and the two-light windows have moulded wood frames.’
