Summary

A line of concrete anti-tank blocks were recorded at the rear of the Crown Hotel during an archaeological assessment in 1996. A group of seven lay south of the walled garden on the south side of the Crown Hotel and a further nine lay within the walled garden itself, contiguous with the east wall. The majority were cuboid in form, although one was pyramidal.

Full Description

A line of concrete tank traps were recorded at the rear of the Crown Hotel during an archaeological assessment in 1996. a group of 7 lay south of the walled garden on the south side of the Crown Hotel and a further nine lay within the walled garden itself, contiguous with the east wall. The majority were cuboid in form, although one was pyramidal. <1>
