Full Description

C E Bean reported that 'Burials are reported to have been found when St. Swithin's Road and North Road were constructed…' cutting through the 'island' formed by the junction of Newland, Hound Street and Newland Garden. {1}

These burials probably form part of a graveyard that may be associated with a putative church of St Swithin.
