Full Description
Four large bowl barrows, three located as above, and a fourth barrow ('D') at SY 75409738. <3>
Four grass covered bowl barrows are situated as above, except that (A) is at SY 75389736. They show no evidence of ditches or excavations, and range from 17 to 25 metres in diameter by 0.6 to 1.6 metres in height. 'C' is surmounted by a trig pillar. <4>
Three round barrows in line on Puddletown Down: (C) Bowl (75349742) lies 180 yds SE of (B). Diam 79ft, ht 3ft. <6>

over; none has a visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <7>
The site is visible as a cropmark ring ditch on aerial photographs and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cern and Piddle AIM Project. Traces of an internal mound are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery. <9-10>
