Summary

A mound, probably a barrow on Knight's Hill. It is 60ft in diam and 5ft high. It has been much disturbed and has a central hollow presumably resulting from antiquarian excavation. The feature is visible on aerial photographs and lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

A ditchless grass-covered bowl barrow, situated on the hill-top at SY 4971 9692, is 21.0 metres in diameter by 1.6 metres high. It has a large central hollow, apparently resulting from excavation, the spoil from which has been spread to the south. Surveyed at 1:2500. <2>
