Please read our .

Summary

Aerial photographs taken in 1973 by John Boyden show cropmarks, interpreted as the ditches of at least two probable enclosures. This group of cropmark features was recorded from aerial photographs during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project. It comprises fragments of two enclosures, a scatter of pits and probable field boundaries at the northern end of a modern field. The most complete enclosure is polygonal, 74m by 56m across with a slightly inturned entrance midway along its southern side. The features are considered likely to be of later prehistoric date and continue to the southwest in record MDO1994.
