Summary

Isolated 'island' with surrounding quarry face; formed between 1800 and 1901. Cleared surface on south side exposes fossil trees of Purbeck beds. Some further quarry faces to south west.

Full Description

Isolated 'island' with surrounding quarry face; north side (now buried) formed between 1800 and 1828 (1-2), east side formed between 1863 and 1889 (3-4), and south side formed between 1889 and 1901. (4-5) Cleared surface on south side exposes fossil trees of Purbeck beds. Some further quarry faces to south west.
