Description

Desk-based assessment of industrial archaeological remains on Portland. Survey undertaken to incorporate information about past, current and furure quarrying of Portland Stone and the production of aggregate on to the county SMR in order to improve the regional and local curatorial management of the Historic Environment of Portland in relation to the exploitation of crushed limestone aggregate.
