Extant. ‘Salt Pool' shown on maps of 1800, 1828, 1832 and 1841. One of two ? (1-4)
One pool of those described above in (1-4) is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 and 2009 to the north of Grove Point. The pond is located on the coast and is sub-rectangular in shape. It measures approximately 26 m by 18 m and is surrounded by an earthen bank. (5-6) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
