Full Description
Site of small quarry opened in fields north of Weston Street after 1901 and before 1926-27. (1) Also shown on the 1959 map. (2) Site now covered with buildings etc.
The early- to mid-20th century Limestone quarry, described above in (1-2), is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s. The quarry is visible over an area measuring approximately 95 m by 40 m. (3) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
