Full Description
Disused and overgrown quarry, opened after 1901 and before 1927. (1)
The quarry described above (in 1) is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s at Lawnsheds, to the west of The Old Lower Light. The quarry is visible over an area measuring approximately 75 m by 50 m. (2) The site is still visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (3) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
