A small quarry, Freshwater Quarries, described above in (1) is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the north of Sheat Quarries. The quarry is visible over an area measuring approximately 26 m by 31 m. (2) The site is still visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (3) A second quarry is located immediately to the east (see MWX4391). This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
