Summary

Site only. Destroyed by expansion of Coombefield Quarry. This was a small ‘old quarry’ on the 1900 map and is shown unaltered in 1926-7 and 1959. The quarry is still visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1968.

Site only. Destroyed by expansion of Coombefield Quarry. This was a small ‘old quarry’ on the 1900 map and is shown unaltered in 1926-7 and 1959. (1-3)

The 19th century Limestone quarry, described above in (1-3) is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1968. The quarry is visible over an area measuring approximately 27 m by 20 m. (4) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
