Full Description
Quarry opened since 1926 and worked in the 1960s and after, becoming joined to Broadcroft and Silklake Quarries. East end is marked as 'Yeolands Quarry' on OS maps. (1-3) Not operating in 1999 when the large open quarry had been worked down to the chert beds, where the water table had been reached in places at the bottom. North side was worked in benches, at point where quarrying was last abandoned. South side had tip infilling. (4)
