A map of 1828 (1) shows ‘Rail Road’ from ‘Fancy Quarry’ in Wide Street leading into a strip field in Inmosthay owned by Wake & Daniel, the origin of the Fancy Beach waste tip which still survives today. Similar details also shown on a map of 1832. (2) Now surrounded by workings of Wide Street and Inmosthay Quarries.
