Full Description
Stone arch with 'J.C. LANO 1862' on keystone. Sealed with brick wall with keystone crudely carved 'E.C. GILLINGHAM MAY 25TH 1914' and below this a concrete block wall crudely inscribed 'CLOSED BY G. RICKETT G. JAMES JULY 4TH 1972'. (1) Shown on 1863 map with tramway passing under Wide Street into Inmosthay Quarry. (2) Still in use in 1900 (3) but rails removed by 1926. (4)
