Summary

A bowl barrow reported as being around 36 feet in diameter, and very heavily ploughed, with the mound surviving as a very slight earthwork. The site of a Bronze Age round barrow is marked on the OS first edition map to the southwest of HogLeaze, Piddletrenthide. It is visible as an extant earthwork on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.

Full Description

An almost levelled bowl barrow. Diameter 12 paces, height 3 ins. (2)

The site of this barrow is visible as an uneven 'bump' on the ground and is no longer recognisable as a barrow. Under grass. <3>

(SY 73989878) Bowl barrow, 36ft diameter and 4 ins high, almost ploughed out, situated west of Hog Leaze in the south-east of an arable field. <5>

Nothing visible, ploughed out. <6>
