Summary

Grave 200 was one of two Roman graves revealed during an excavation by Wessex Archaeology in the garden of 43 Cornwall Road, Dorchester in 1986. The grave was aligned N-S and contained an supine extended inhumation of an adult male with the head to the north. No coffin nails were found and the edge of the grave cut was extremely difficult to define. It cut Grave 204. No dating evidence was recovered but it is likely that this burial was of a similar late 3rd or 4th century AD date to the nearby burials excavated at 8 Albert Road.

Full Description
