‘(216) FORDINGTON HILL … (f) Inhumation, one or more, found in 1894 in Salisbury Field (c. 69659060), at least 90 yds. W. of (c). A black ware jar 8 ins. high of 1st or early 2nd-century type, with diagonally tooled body decoration, and a saucer or lid of a smaller vessel (no. 5; 1894.5.2), were found, it was believed, with human bones. The jar (1894.5.1) is untraced but sketched in D.C.M. card index. (Moule, 46–7; Moule MS., 22.)’
