Summary

Oven 6 was one of eight ovens found during the excavations on the site of the new Dorset County Library, Colliton Park, Dorchester in 1961-63 (1) (2). Oven 6 lay in an open area roughly paved with limestone slabs, to the south of Oven 1. It was unexcavated, but is probably contemporary with Oven 1, which dates to the late 3rd century AD.

Oven 6 was one of eight ovens found during the excavations on the site of the new Dorset County Library, Colliton Park, Dorchester in 1961-63 (1) (2). Oven 6 lay in an open area roughly paved with limestone slabs, to the south of Oven 1. It was unexcavated, but is probably contemporary with Oven 1, which dates to the late 3rd century AD.
