Found during the evaluation of land to the rear of 9 High East Street, Dorchester, by AC archaeology in 2005.

The upper surface of a ditch about 0.8m wide, running N-S was found cutting through the Roman road. It was not excavated. A single sherd of medieval pottery was recovered from the dark brown clay silt fill.

This ditch may be part of a medieval boundary ditch.
