Summary

A series of parallel lynchets are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs on the slopes of South Warren Hill. They are considered to be of medieval origin and were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

Lynchets on the south slope of South Warren Hill consist of four terraces with an average width of 22 feet. <1>

Lynchets centred at SY 484991 are as described above. They are of medieval type, long and well-pronounced, approximately parallel and grass-covered. <2>
