Summary
A detached house built in 1837, formerly the vicarage. The building, in Jacobean style, has stone walls and a stone slate roof with parapets, and stone chimney stacks. A stone set over the door has the inscription ‘Lady Emily Septima Bingham, 1837’. An outbuilding behind and built at the same time as the house, is said to have been the butler’s cottage.

‘(5) THE OLD PARSONAGE (20 yds. E.), of two storeys with stone walls and stone-slated roofs, was built in 1837 in the Jacobean style with stone-mullioned windows.’
